There’s nothing too exciting about an actor and a fashion house shacking up; this sort of thing happens all the time. But this one is worth your time for a number of reasons. It’s another hit on Pitt’s formidable awards season style streak, for one. For another, it may be the biggest fashion campaign of Pitt’s career to date—Page Six reports that it may be his first ever, which, well, shocking if true. It’s certainly the biggest since 2012, when he became the first male face of Chanel No.5 in history.
From what little we’ve seen, it looks like Brad’s line won’t upset the apple cart. We don’t expect him to hit the red carpet in corduroy, or something logo-fied, or anything Diplo would ever wear any time soon. Still, it’s hard to say how much the appeal of a Brad Pitt tux is down to Pitt, and how much to the tux. Will it take 15 years off your face, add 15 years to your career, or at the very least suspend you in time? If you wear it often enough, will you gradually transform into a more spiritually balanced renaissance man?
